Avmax’s Engineering division is a Transport Canada authorized Design Approval Organization (TCCA DAO 12-C-01) for structures, avionics and interiors covering normal and transport category airplanes and helicopters. Our team is made up of engineers and technical staff that is dedicated to advancing aviation safety and providing timely, value added support to our customers.  We believe that carefully planned modifications can enhance the value of our customer’s assets while improving the level of safety for crews and passengers.

We specialize in design and certification of modifications leading to Airworthiness Approvals (TCCA, FAA and EASA STC’s) for avionics upgrades, Flight Management Systems installations, antenna installations, interior reconfigurations and Special Mission applications. We offer many off the shelf avionics installation approvals for systems such as SATCOM, EGPWS / TAWS, CVR, GPS, FMS, HF and ELT.

We maintain a Permit to Practice Engineering in the Province of Alberta with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).  All design and fabrication drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics are created using state of the art CAD/CAE software including mechanical parametric solid modeling (3D CAD) and Finite Element Modeling / Analysis.
