Evan Gao, a seasoned financial executive, brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Chief Financial Officer. His journey with Avmax began in 2014 as a Tax Manager. Evan's tenure was brief, yet marked by significance, as he swiftly advanced to assume the mantle of Chief Financial Officer in June 2018.

Evan Gao's entrepreneurial spirit and innovative outlook led him to embark on a path of his own, founding a consulting company specializing in M&A advisory business, after his initial stint at Avmax. Notably, he played a pivotal role in shaping the M&A transactions between Sunward and Avmax, underlining his strategic prowess and industry insight.

Before joining Avmax, Evan honed his craft as a Tax Manager at BDO Canada LLP, where his proficiency spanned various industries within the public, private, and non-profit sectors. His engagements, particularly with public companies, refined his acumen for intricate financial dynamics.

Evan's academic foundation is anchored in a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from Simon Fraser University in 2008. Subsequently, he achieved the esteemed Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in 2011 and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the United States in 2013. His commitment to continuous growth led him to complete the CICA In-depth Tax courses I, II, and III in 2013.
